SAP Business Partner Category
SAP Business Partner in S/4HANA has categories which denotes whether a business partner is a natural person (private individual), organization (legal person/entity or part of a legal entity, such as a department), or a group. When you create an SAP Business Partner, you have to select a business partner category.
SAP Business Partner Group
A mandatory field for any type of Business Partner. BP group is defined in the customization. The use of the business partner group is it’s used to assign number ranges (internal/ external). And it’s similar to FI account group for customers/vendors.
SAP Business Partner Role
SAP Business Partner in S/4HANA has Business Partner Roles. Rights and obligations that can be taken on by a business partner in different business transactions. Roles define the display and the data of a business partner.
– SAP provides predefined roles. Customer-specific roles can be created.
